SUMMARY
Maintain the flow of product through the manual assembly processes of the production. Reports to the Production Supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the flow of product through the Final Assembly & Integration processes production
- Identify and resolve Process / Equipment / Tools requirements with the Production Leader
- To be trained by Senior mechanical operators on processes such as epoxy application, any gluing process, heat sink application etc.
- Align, fit and assemble component parts using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and templates
- Install electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using hand soldering and hand tools
- Use precision measuring tools or equipment
- Move products to final QC or the next step in accordance with the priorities set by the Production Leader or designate
- Verify board assembly prior to wave with the BOM, customer specs and View Station
- To make sure first off for mechanical is being done completely
- Ensure all the problems found during the first off inspection have been highlighted to the Production Leader and continue only after the manufacturing engineer has looked at it already
- Raise issues/concerns with parts, orientation and any other challenges – obtain details and confirm with Supervisor that relevant details have been added to the View Station prior to running the future jobs
- Verify all processes are performed to the documentation
- Make sure housekeeping is being done at all stations and is maintained at all times
- Ensure that each board is being properly scanned through the system, read instructions in the training aid for any quires
- Always scan board using View Station
- Bring all scanning related issues to the attention of the Production Leader
- Handle and store materials/boards using ESD guidelines
- Ensure quality standards are maintained all through the production
- Position may involve physical demands such as lifting of heavy objects
- Perform other duties as required
SKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of High School required
- Good knowledge of electronic assemblies including through hole components, drawings and BOMS
- Knowledge of quality systems and ESD control
- Electro-mechanical knowledge
- Experienced in Box assembly as well as test
- Able to lift at least 30Ibs
- Good work habits and housekeeping
- IPC Standards and ISO 9002: 1 year
- Mechanical Assembly: 1 year
